4.5.43 Removalist costs
WorkSafe can pay the reasonable cost of removalist services if the worker is required to move as a direct result of a work-related An injury/disease is work related if it arose out of or in the course of employment and the scope of employment. injury or illness. WorkSafe may fund the full or partial cost of the removalist, depending on what is considered reasonable.

Prior approval
Written approval from the Agent is required prior to the commencement of removalist services.
To consider payment for this service the Agent must be provided with:
- a current referral from a medical practitioner
- at least two fully itemised quotes from removalist companies.
WorkSafe will not pay for
WorkSafe will not pay for removalist services:
- where the worker is changing residence for personal reasons
- in preparation of a home for sale
- of relocation costs.
