7.2 Senior review
The Agent must inform the worker of their right to have an adverse decision reviewed by a senior manager. If the worker requests a review, the senior manager who reviews the decision must not have been involved in the initial decision.
The senior manager:
- reviews the decision
- reviews the material relied on for the decision and any new material received
- considers the claim file documentation
- asks the worker and/or employer for any further relevant material
- informs the worker in writing of their decision to either maintain, withdraw or vary the original decision.
The worker
The worker can accept the senior manager's decision or take the dispute to conciliation.
