4.5.42 Remedial massage
WorkSafe can pay the reasonable cost of remedial massage services at the request of a medical practitioner if those services are required as a result of a work-related injury or illness.
Remedial massage is defined as the application of manual massage techniques to treat musculoskeletal disorders or dysfunctions in a systematic way. Remedial massage is designed to improve the function of the worker in the rehabilitation process and achieve progress in return to work outcomes.

WorkSafe can pay for the reasonable costs of a medical and like expense where a worker is entitled to provisional payments on a claimed mental injury.
