Job Description:

WANTED - 13 MORE WORKSAFE INSPECTORS

WorkSafe is seeking 13 professional, resilient and adaptable self starters to help us make Victorian workplaces safer and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.

As a WorkSafe Inspector, you will visit workplaces to gauge compliance with legislation, give constructive advice about how to manage workplace risks and, if required, take action to enforce the law.

Your sound knowledge of occupational health and safety is essential, as well as strong communication, negotiation, information gathering, problem solving and decision making skills.

Positions are available in Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Successful applicants may be appointed to any one of five areas focussing on:
    • Manufacturing, logistics & agriculture industries
    • Public sector & community service organisations
    • Construction & utilities organisations
    • Mining industries
    • Investigations of serious alleged breaches of legislation
If you have strong relevant experience and knowledge in any of these areas or, in an occupational health and safety related role, then we are looking for you.

You will also be computer literate and to hold a current Victorian drivers licence.
