Job Description:
The Victorian WorkCover Authority is the state’s regulator on workplace health and safety with the aim to make all workplaces free from injury, risk and disease.
The Manager Health and Claims Relationships provides high level support and advice to the Director Claims Operations (Health), Executive Director RCBU, and leadership team within the Claims Operations (Health) Division to build, develop, promote and leverage key relationships to contribute to continuously improving the performance of WorkSafe Agents application of the 2012 Health Strategy.
Primary responsibilities and accountabilities of this role are:
This role will have specific accountability for the development of a relationship strategy with particular emphasis on key relationships across WorkSafe/TAC Health Services Group, Agents, Segment leaders and the RTW and Weekly Benefit, Service and Agent Management Divisions.
This position is required to identify opportunities for improved health performance within Agents and across the scheme by contributing proactively to compliance, policy, strategy development and implementation of these activities.
This position will have accountability for maintaining positive and proactive relationships with WorkSafe/TAC Health Services Group leadership team and Agent Senior Management to facilitate and encourage improvements in health outcomes for injured Victorian workers.
This position will have responsibility to influence and support a change agenda within WorkSafe IWSS and Agents to ensure the 2012 health strategy is implemented within a timely, effective and value add service orientation.
This position will be required to actively support, promote and advocate for Claims Operations (Health) division operational activity, including the best interests of Agents by working closely with stakeholders to drive agent performance.
This position will have accountability to ensure the coordination of all stakeholders across different parts of business and WorkSafe/TAC Health Service Group to resolve complex and sensitive, Agent, scheme and health strategy implementation issues.
This position will be required to liaise with other personnel involved in stakeholder engagement to ensure consistency and duplication of effort is minimized.
This position will have accountability to a represent Claims Operations (Health) Division at a range of cross-functional forums within and external to WorkSafe.
Within the framework of WorkSafe’s cultural values, the role will lead a small, disciplined and highly motivated team focused on achieving improvements in the health outcomes of injured workers.
This position is considered as integral in to the leadership of the Claims Operations (health) division. The role will support the Director and Executive Director in the development and maintenance of collaborative and cooperative relationships with all WorkSafe/TAC Health Services Group, Agents and WorkSafe Divisions.
The successful candidate will have:
Proven ability to build, influence and sustain effective and constructive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in driving external stakeholder performance improvement
Tertiary qualification in a health field and demonstrated experience within a clinical setting
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level
Highly developed problem solving, analytical and conceptual skills
Proven ability to work and deliver outcomes within a sensitive and complex matrix environment
Innovative and creative thinking
An ability to integrate different advice, ideas and concepts into practical business solutions
High degree of written and oral communication skills including presentation and facilitation skills
A record of successful performance at a senior level in the WorkCover\personal injury environment
This is a full time, permanent position.
The salary for this role is an Executive Level 1 Package.
