Purpose of the role:
The AS Team leader will work within the Claims Operations-Health Division (COH) and in partnership with WorkSafe’s 7 Agents, Health Services Group (HSG), Information Technology Shared Services and Injury, Support &Service (IS&S) to:-
Identify and document current risks within existing paramedical and like account payment processes;
Identify and document alternative solutions to mitigate the risks identified;
Implement selected solutions through a project and change management approach;
Assist in implementing, in partnership with HSG, immediate medical account solutions within WorkSafe 7 Agents; and
Play a lead contributor role, through experiential learning into future solution opportunities i.e. Treatment Payments Program.
Primary responsibilities and accountabilities of this role are:
LEADERSHIP
Lead the identification of account processing risks through analysis and consultation with key stakeholders;
Lead the evaluation of risk and change impact and identify, assess and recommend through business case development where appropriate alternative account processing solutions;
Lead a team of up to 4 employees whilst drawing upon matrix resources from within COH Division in partnership with COH management team;
Lead the influence of priority based medical solutions and coordinate implementation with WorkSafe’s 7 Agents;
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Design and establish a risk based framework for account processing assessment, analysis and solution implementation
Manage engagement and consultation with Agents, HSG, ITSS and Divisions of IS&S regarding account processing risks and solutions;
Conduct and lead facilitated workshops with all key stakeholders;
Project manage account processing change and solution implementation across all WorkSafe Agents
Working with Agent management, manage the change in culture, expectations, demands and priorities of accounts processing;
Liaise with other WorkSafe/TAC personnel involved in partner engagement to ensure consistency and duplication of effort is minimized.
Represent Claims Operations-Health Division at a range of cross-functional forums within and external to WorkSafe
The successful candidate will have:
Proven ability to build, influence and sustain effective and constructive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in driving external stakeholder performance improvement
Proven ability to work and deliver outcomes within sensitive and complex matrix environments
Highly developed problem solving, analytical and critical thinking
An ability to integrate different advice, ideas and concepts into practical business and process solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven experience in managing multiple high profile small projects
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level
Previous experience in an insurance or workers compensation account environment – desirable
Sound operational knowledge of the CSC/Acction system and processes – desirable.
Note: If this temporary or secondment opportunity is made permanent, provided there are no identified performance issues the manager has the discretion to either directly appoint the incumbent to the permanent position or readvertise the role.
This is a full time, fixed term position available for 24 months.
The salary for this role is $94,355.00 per annum.
