WorkSafe can pay the reasonable cost of counselling services at the request of a medical practitioner where required as a result of a work-related An injury/disease is work related if it arose out of or in the course of employment and the scope of employment. injury or illness.

Policy
The Counselling policy has replaced the loss and grief counselling policy effective 1 February 2022.
The policy includes:
- what can be paid for
- referral requirements
- who can provide counselling services
- service standards including regular reporting required
- review of service provision
Fee schedule
WorkSafe publish a fee schedule for the maximum payment rate for consultations.
