3.7.3.2 Injuries close to or after retirement age
The maximum number of weeks of weekly payments a worker can receive when they are injured within a set time before retirement age, or any time after retirement age is 130 weeks of compensation. It is calculated the same way as it is for workers who are injured well before retirement age.
Each week in which any weekly payment is paid or payable, whether for all or part of that week and whether consecutive or not, should be counted as one week in calculating the maximum number of weeks of entitlement.
