3.6.3 When a Centrelink Recovery Notice is received

Follow these steps when a recovery notice is received.

Write to employer & worker	Write to the employer and worker to advise them of the details of weekly compensation to be paid. Use Arrears of Compensation and Centrelink letters.
Employer processes payments to worker	The employer: pays the worker any balance owed after the deduction of the Centrelink recovery amount and continues ongoing payments where relevant is responsible for deducting any taxation on the balance of weekly payments payable to the worker.
